The biggest employer of Maritime staff in Australia required one security company that could design a national upgrade of systems and cater to a new build in Ports of Melbourne and Brisbane. It all needed to be integrated back to their HQ in central Sydney. IDS were appointed to complete the project
As with any port area, this client required counter-terrorism strategies and a professional system they could rely on, as well as products that would last through challenging weather conditions. In addition, they had drivers arriving outside work hours, and didn’t want to hand out swipe cards as some were contractors and had a high turnover of staff.
IDS installed professional high-resolution security cameras with infra-red capabilities to capture clear footage, even at night with marine grade materials.
IDS also showed the client how to program authorised drivers phone numbers into the security system, the benefits being two-fold; the system recognises the number and lets the driver in and saves money on card in issuing to many drivers.
