Design required for a user friendly non-intrusive security system for six interview rooms and reception to protect staff from disgruntled clients. They needed to ensure that any disgruntled person leaves the premises without assaulting staff.
Staff wanted to feel safe when interviewing their clients and with minimal visible security so clients does not feel like they are being interrogated by staff. If their client got aggressive then staff needed a safe exit of the interview room without the disgruntled person following them. Our Client needed a professional solution that all integrated together to create a safe environment without causing distress to their clients and alert other staff members if in danger.
After in-depth discussions with the end users/ management
about their safety concerns IDS Security came up with a user friendly solution that incorporated CCTV, Access Control,
Intruder Alarms, Panic buttons and Audio Microphones to
allow recording of sensitive interviews with encrypted video/
audio being stored. The rooms allowed for a staff member to
exit the room in an emergency and with a push of a button
to electronically lock the door, create audio/visual alerts for
staff areas and live stream video to certain computers. This
allowed for staff to assess the situation in the area without
having to logon to systems and search for footage or sit
and monitor all interviews in person. After installation and
testing a preventative maintenance package was put in place
to ensure that no failures would occur when needed in a
situation.
