We are asked to carry out a design and construct services and then implementation on a $10million government office fitout site in a high rise building on William St. They struggled to get a security company who could meet their technical needs, so they took the security tender component out of the tender for the builders and we were appointed as the security provider the builders had to use.
They didn’t want to use base-buildings access control and
didn’t want staff to have to carry 2 cards. Also, after the install
it was discovered that staff were leaving the doors open
after hours, and base building security was not checking the
levels so they were vulnerable.
IDS installed the Access Control that the client wanted and
integrated it with base building so only one swipe card was
required. In addition IDS set up time period to notify the
customers via email if doors were left opened after a period
time, so that they could send base building security to check
if required.
